How WE do things here at Shadow Legion

How WE Do Things Here at Shadow Legion:

1) We believe in Playful Banter. Optimal respect towards enemies and if you want to say something nasty ~ DON'T. Just be quiet, ignore the nastiness. Let them talk to the wind in WC (World Chat.)

2) IT'S A GAME ~ Have fun! If you aren't having fun, log off and try another day!

3) Help one Another! Share information, advice, opinions, resources and the likes! The alliance grows faster when we are all helping one another in every way possible.

4) Lords and Leaders get their positions because they earned them. They are NOT picked by power level but by the enormous support and help they freely give out. These members are Prime Examples and help me keep everyone active and the Alliance strong. No action is ignored and many members look for these actions.

5) Thank You's go a long way. PLEASE be sure to send Thank You's to those who have helped you out or sent something your way. In game or a generic Facebook post works just fine ^_~ ! We are a Feel Good Alliance !

Troop Mixes ~ By SuckerPunch

There are 4 types of troops in the game, and work best when the same types are together. I will explain the four, and then talk about a few bad mistakes you can avoid making.

Transport- Porters, Armored Transports (AT), Pack Dragons (PD)
These do not fight, they are used to transport resources and gold, both home from battle and to other alliance members. Porters are notoriously slow. Once you have Armored Transports, porters are no longer used in general. There is one use for them, so keep 5 on hand. I will explain their use later. Transport troops can be mixed with any and all troops.

Speed- Swift Strike Dragons (SSD), Battle Dragons (BD), Banshees (BAN)
These troops are very fast, and use speed to melee the opposition. They have very short range and are basically melee troops.

Melee- Conscripts (CON), Halberdsman (HALB), Minotaurs (MINO), Giants (G), Granite Ogres (GO), Frost Ogres (FO), Fangteeth** (FT), Venom Dwellers**
These troops fight hand-to-hand. Cons and Halbs serve no purpose later in the game when you have access to better troops.

Ranged- Long Bowmen (LBM), Fire Mirrors (FM), Lava Jaws (LJ), Fangteeth** (FT), Venom Dwellers**
These troops use ranged weapons rather than fighting hand-to-hand. Long Bowmen are the bread and butter of this group early on, and continue to serve well even in later stages of the game.

**Fangteeth and Venom Dwellers work well in either melee or ranged roles, though it should be noted FT are far more powerful in melee combat.

Soul Reapers are special, although it should be noted they are melee fighters rather than ranged. However, they only claim dead opponent's souls when defending, and are best used in defense.

A few tips: Never mix speed troops with ranged troops when attacking. Ranged troops expand the battle field, leaving speed troops much more susceptable to opposing forces before they can do their damage. Mixing will result in lots of speed troop casualties.
Great and Elemental Dragons mix with all types, and I personally include one in every attack.
All types mix together on defense.

Hope this helps. Happy Hunting!! -SuckerPunch
Specialized troops. I will include descriptions of each one in soon to be added editing.
Granite Ogre 650 melee, 350 speed, 900 defense, 0 range/ranged attack, 15k life
Frost Ogre 1500 melee, 200 speed, 200 defense, 0 range/ranged attack, 5500 life
Bansee 700 melee, 1350 speed, 200 defense, 0 range/ranged attack, 2850 life

Fire Mirrors 20 melee, 50 speed, 30 defense, 1500 range, 1200 ranged attack, 1500 life
I include fire mirrors because they require a level 10 garrison or training camp, and 2 lvl 10 researches in Weapons Calibration and Metallurgy. Paired with ( LJ), they are quite deadly and also provide as shields for the lava jaws.

Lava Jaws 500 melee, 400 speed, 150 defense, 1600 range, 2000 ranged attack, 1000 life
Fangteeth 1600 melee, 500 speed, 300 defense, 600 range, 800 ranged attack, 3000 life
Soul Reaper 1000 melee, 450 speed, 500 defense, 0 range/ranged attack, 3000 life
Venom Dweller 900 melee, 300 speed, 225 defense, 700 range, 800 ranged attack, 3500 Life
